With thousands of followers on YouTube and Instagram, Sourav’s rise to fame has been nothing short of rapid. However, his success has now led to a disturbing encounter with criminal elements.

Who is Sourav Joshi?

Born on September 8, 1999 in Kausan, Uttarakhand, Sourav Joshi grew up in a humble family and his early life was marked by financial hardship. His father moved to Delhi in search of work, where he found work as a blacksmith and painter. Despite the hardships, Sourav’s family persevered, often moving due to their inability to afford long-term rentals.

As a student, Sourav was not known for academic success, but his creative talents, particularly drawing, began to shine. Encouraged by his brother, he began uploading videos of his work to YouTube. Although initial response was modest, his content found a larger audience during the COVID-19 lockdown when one of his drawing lessons went viral. This moment became a turning point in his career, bringing him fame.

Today Sourav Joshi resides in Haldwan, a town in Uttarakhand, and has become a social media sensation with nearly 2.9 crore subscribers on YouTube, making him one of the most subscribed content creators in the country. His Instagram presence is also impressive with over 60 lakh followers following his posts.

However, Sourav Joshi has reportedly filed a police complaint after receiving a threatening letter from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to Sourav, the letter contained a demand for Rs 2 crore with threats of violence against him and his family if the money was not paid. The gang, known for its criminal activities, is said to have made it clear that it would harm his loved ones if the demands were not met.

Following the complaint, the local police have started an investigation and registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and are taking the matter seriously.
