Complaint against YSRC MLC Duvvada over comments on Pawan Kalyan

Visakhapatnam: A complaint was lodged against YSRC MLC Duvvada Srinivas by Janasena leader T. Kiran Kumar in Tekkala, Palasa, following comments made by the MLC on Janasena Konidela president Pawan Kalyan. Sub-inspector Tekkali Vijay Kumar said that we have received the complaint on Thursday but due to lack of clarity in the complaint the case is not yet registered, we are investigating the matter and it will be registered soon.

The incident comes amid a wider crackdown by the current NDA government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on social media abuse and hate speech. This initiative has already led to several arrests of YSRCP supporters for similar offences. Prominent public figures, including actress Sri Reddy and filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, have also faced legal action for allegedly defamatory remarks against political leaders.
