Virgin River is getting some great Season 7 news from Netflix ahead of Season 6

Netflix may not have the best track record when it comes to keeping original shows longer than a couple of seasons, but the streamer doesn’t seem to have that problem when it comes to A forested river. The hit romance series has been a huge (and very affordable) hit for Netflix, and is now on track to become one of the longest-running scripted shows in the streamer’s history.

A forested river there are returns for season 6 December 19, but Netflix isn’t waiting until then to let fans know there’s more to come. Netflix announced this week A forested river has been renewed for a 7th season, confirming that the series will continue until at least 2025.

It’s a good sign when a series gets renewed for another season soon after the current season airs. The fact that A forested river is being renewed more than a month before Season 6 debuts, which shows how much faith the streamer has in the series. And it’s nice for fans that they can watch season 6 without worrying that it might be the end.

The upcoming sixth season A forested river will be massive as it will focus on the long-awaited wedding between Mel and Jack. Also, this season probably will plant some seeds for a A forested river spinoff/prequel.

Last year’s holiday episodes dealt with a story that Mel’s parents had A forested river. There will be several flashbacks throughout Season 6 that will tell the story of Mel’s father in the 1970s. This will likely lead to a spin-off series that Netflix has been developing for some time.

“Set against the backdrop of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding season, this sixth installment promises new twists, intensifying love triangles, great wedding drama, and revealed secrets from Mel’s father’s past that will transport us into the magic and mystique of Virgo. River in the 1970s,” reads the official logline for A forested river Season 6.

Starring Alexandra Breckinridge and Martin Henderson A forested river as Mel and Jack respectively. They are joined by other series regulars Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, Candice McClure and Mark Ganime.

The upcoming sixth season A forested river will consist of 10 one-hour episodes. Netflix has confirmed that season 7 will keep the same order and length of episodes.
