A man has died days after being involved in a crash in the Midlands as gardaí made a major appeal

A man involved in a crash in the Midlands last Thursday has sadly died in hospital, gardaí have confirmed.

Police in Tullamore are continuing to investigate a single vehicle collision involving a car on the L2007 (Rahan Road) in Ballykineghan which happened at approximately 9.00am on Thursday 14 November.

The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, who suffered serious injuries in the collision, was pronounced dead at Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, last night.

The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

“Any road users who may have dash cam footage (including dashcam) and were traveling in the area between 8.15am and 9.15am are asked to make that footage available for Gardaí to investigate,” they urged.
