In Lebanon, as a result of a head-on traffic accident, a man died and three others were injured

A man was killed in a head-on crash in Lebanon on Friday night that injured three others.

York County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a serious crash in the area of ​​Long Swamp Road and Lord Road in Lebanon around 6 p.m.

The sheriff’s office said Daniel Dempsey, 39, of Lebanon, was driving a Mazda southbound on Long Swamp Road when he crossed into the oncoming lane, striking a northbound Dodge pickup.

Dempsey was pronounced dead at the scene. Dempsey’s passenger, Christina Gagnon, 44, of Berwick, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, York County Sheriff William King said.

The driver of the Dodge, William Long, 22, of South Berwick, and the passenger, Jenna Dixon, 20, of Berwick, both suffered minor injuries, King said.

Gagnon, Long and Dixon were taken to local hospitals.

King said investigators believe alcohol, speed and reckless driving contributed to the crash, which remains under investigation.
