Wolfe was two charges are initially filed in April, both exceeding $5,000, which are felonies.

The Nebraska High School Press Association says Wolfe stole about $76,000 while managing the organization’s accounts as treasurer for six years.

The investigation found Wolfe forged checks and used an NHSPA debit card for several unauthorized transactions, which included ATM withdrawals and grocery purchases, food deliveries, veterinary bills, online purchases and even subscriptions to streaming services.

Investigators say they also discovered a “commingling” of money between Wolfe’s personal bank account and the NHSPA account.

As of August 1 of this year, Wolf no longer works at OPS.
