Coroner calls for crash on Perry County highway: report

PERRY COUNTY, PA (WHP) — The fatal crash closed a section of US Route 11/15 for hours Thursday night into Friday morning.

The crash was reported around 10:50 p.m. on State Road 1307 or Highway 11/15 in Penn Township, according to emergency dispatchers.

The dispatcher confirmed that the coroner had been called to the scene. No details on the identity of the victim have been released at this time.

PennDOT said the multi-vehicle crash closed the northbound and southbound lanes for several hours, and both reopened at 5 a.m. Friday.

Duncannon Fire and Pennsylvania State Police Newport were the first responders to the scene.
