Meredith Gaudreau likes to watch any footage of her late husband, Johnny Gaudreau — even if it’s niche hockey content.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Meredith took to her Instagram story to share video Johnny who died at the age of 31 in August, talking about his preference for smaller hockey sticks.

“Don’t know what this means but I’ve watched this 45 trillion times ,” she wrote alongside the clip, which was posted by a fan account on Wednesday. “I love you. I miss your voice “.

Meredith has paid tribute to the late NHL star several times, as he and his brother, Matthew Gaudreauwere hit by a vehicle while cycling the day before their sister Cathy Gaudreau planned to get married. (Katie postponed the wedding until July 2025, according to her wedding website.)

“I never post that much, but John deserves it. 3 years ago today I became yours forever,” Meredith wrote via Instagram in September, along with historic photos from the couple’s 2021 wedding. “One of the best days of my life, including the night we got engaged and the days we had our babies. The day I met you, I remember saying to myself, “God, I’m going to marry him.” And every day it got better and better. I love you forever, John, and I’m so proud to be your wife.”

“So caring and loving. The best parenting partner. John never missed an appointment, she continued. “I put the baby to sleep and the apple of Noah’s eye the best. I love how much she looks like him. We are going to make you proud. We love you so much, Dad.”

At Johnny’s memorial service in September, Meredith showed that she was the couple is expecting their third child.

Several members of Gaudreau’s family attended court on Tuesday, November 12 hearing for the man accused of killing Johnny and Matthew. Sean M.
