Nicholasville police are investigating a murder-suicide

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) – The Nicholasville Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide early Saturday morning.

Police say they arrived at a home on Edwards Road where they found the victim, 20-year-old Isabella Mae Walsh, dead from two gunshot wounds. They identified Walsh’s boyfriend, 21-year-old Willie Milfort Jr., as the suspect.

Police then obtained a warrant for Milfort’s arrest and attempted to serve him at his family home on Winners Circle. When Nicholasville Police Special Response Team officers arrived at the residence, Milfort took his own life.

The investigation is ongoing.
