Ali Fazal says it took him forever to watch Mirzapur

Actor Ali Fazal could have committed several heinous crimes in Prime Video’s hit show, Mirzapur. But the artist, by his own admission, is a peaceful person. Ali said it took him forever to watch the series.

Speaking to journalist and YouTuber Sucharita Tyagi, the actor said, “Mirzapur is half of it, he is so violent. I’m not cruel. My gut doesn’t accept it. There is no other way out. You just get into it, that’s just extreme focus. It took me forever to look at Mirzapur.”

Ali then talked about a certain sequence in the show and shared how difficult it was for him to pull it off, “There was a scene in Mirzapur where I kill someone in a way that was considered very unnecessary at the time. I just couldn’t get over it. I thought it was wrong.

Mirzapur is one of the most successful OTT shows in India and boasts of a diverse cast such as Pankaj Tripathi, Rasika Duggal, Vikrant Massey and Ali Fazal among others. A movie based on the series was recently announced with a teaser.
