The ambulance worker does not deny allegations of sexual assault

RAISIN. An ambulance worker accused of inappropriately touching a 17-year-old girl while she was in the back seat of an ambulance pleaded no contest Nov. 11 to two felony charges.

Roger Kiefer, 57, was charged with one felony count of second-degree sexual assault by a child welfare or residential care worker and two counts of fourth-degree felony sexual assault, according to online court documents.

Kieffer pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge, and the charge of second-degree sexual assault was dismissed but read into the record.

A judge sentenced Kieffer to nine months in the Racine County Jail on each charge. However, Kieffer will only serve prison time if he violates the terms of his three-year probation.

He will also have to register as a sex offender.

Accusation

According to a criminal complaint filed in March, Kieffer was alone in the back of an ambulance when he and a partner drove a 17-year-old female patient from Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant to Wisconsin Children’s after she reportedly overdosed October. 30, 2023.

In a forensic interview with the Center for Children’s Rights on November 22, 2023, the girl reportedly said that Kieffer performed what he called a pelvic exam.

Kieffer’s incident report made no mention of a pelvic exam, and he reportedly denied any memory of the girl.

The criminal complaint also states that Kieffer reportedly lost his teaching job at Waukesha County Technical College after he allegedly touched students inappropriately.

Kiefer was fired from EMS in December 2023.
