The six were charged after authorities searched four homes

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS). Law enforcement agencies in Laredo were able to track down and arrest a group of individuals who facilitated the distribution of fentanyl.

On the morning of Thursday, October 25, Laredo police, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Texas Department of Public Safety executed warrants at four homes on Napoleon Street.

The buildings involved in the case were directly across from Santo Niño Elementary School.

According to reports, the people in these houses were involved in the sale of drugs. Authorities say they found several different drugs, including fentanyl, marijuana and cocaine.

Joe Baeza of the Laredo Police noted, “…but more important to us is the fentanyl. One of the addresses was 2901 Napoleon, and at that particular location the case was taken federally because of the number and amount that was there.”

Officials with LPD said investigators are still working to identify and arrest everyone involved.
