Three injured as a result of the shooting at El. University Avenue, Lafayette Police are investigating

LAFAYETTE PARISH — The Lafayette Police Department is investigating a shooting on E. University Avenue that left three people injured. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of E. University Ave., where they confirmed three victims were injured in the incident. Their conditions have not been released and it is unclear if the suspects are currently in custody.

The scene has been established, and investigators are collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses to determine what led to the shooting. The area is expected to remain active during the investigation.
