Two men were detained allegedly for killed a 19-year-old pregnant woman and bury her body in a pit in an abandoned area in Haryana, officials said on Friday.

According to the preliminary data of the investigation, three persons are involved in the crime – Sanju Alis Salim, Pankaj and Hrithik. While Sanju and Pankaj have been arrested and confessed to the crime, the search is on for Hrithik.

The victim was allegedly in a relationship with Sanju and pressured him to marry her.

The horrific incident came to light when the Delhi Police received a complaint from the victim’s brother that his sister was missing on October 22. He suspected that a man with whom his sister had recently befriended might be involved in her disappearance.

1. On October 22, the Delhi Police received a complaint from the girl’s brother that his sister was missing. He suspected that one of her sister’s friends might be involved.

2. Soon after the complaints were received, several teams of Delhi Police were formed to investigate the murder. The woman’s phone was switched off.

3- Delhi Police has now arrested Sanju and Pankaj and they confessed to killing a 19-year-old girl who was pregnant and burying her body.

4- The detained accused admitted during interrogation that on October 21 they rented a car and took the victim along with some of her belongings.

5- Investigators suspected that the woman wanted to marry Sanju, but he kept asking for some more time.

6. According to the police, on the day of Karva Chauth, when the victim was fasting, she allegedly had an argument with Sanju and they decided to meet.

7- After the battle, accused Sanju asked his friends Pankaj and Hrithik to arrange a car to go on a long trip.

8. They all got into a car and drove to Rohtak in Haryana and then killed the victim and buried her body under a four-feet deep pit in an abandoned area in Madina, Rohtak district, police said according to preliminary investigation.
