The suspect in the vandalism of the Masonic lodge pleads guilty to arson

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF)- A man accused of arson during the vandalism of the Chattanooga Masonic Lodge last year has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Kadum Harwood pleaded guilty according to a federal document.

Evidence showed that on September 4, 2023, Harwood drove from his home in Catoosa County to the Masonic Lodge to damage or destroy the building.

The document describes how he set two separate fires and even fired shots into the building.

Harwood faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
