A double shooting occurred in Baltimore, as a result of which one person was seriously injured

BALTIMORE — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday morning after a double shooting in east Baltimore County, authorities said.

Patrol officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at approximately 10:43 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Montford Avenue to find a 30-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical teams took both victims to the district hospital for medical assistance. Police said one of the victims was in critical condition, so homicide detectives joined the investigation.

The circumstances of the shooting are being investigated, information about potential suspects has not been released.
