Body found in Fox River on Friday identified as 68-year-old man

APPLETON (NBC 26) — A body was found in the Fox River on Friday, according to a news release from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office.

Shortly before 11:20 a.m., crews were called to the Fox River near E. Banta Court in Appleton for a report of a body found in the water.

The body was found and identified as a 68-year-old man from Appleton who had previously been reported missing.

According to the report, foul play is not suspected and the investigation is ongoing.
