Atlanta police have released video of the arrest of a man they believe stole a white BMW at the Atlanta airport.

ATLANTA – Atlanta police recently released details of an arrest following a stolen car chase in southwest Atlanta.

Police say the incident happened about a week ago and involved a white BMW that authorities believe was stolen from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The stolen vehicle was later spotted at Abby Ridge Apartments. When officers attempted to intervene, the driver, identified as Demario Moreland, sped off.

The police aviation unit tracked the BMW to Spelman Street, where Moreland abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee. Eventually, the police found him hiding behind a house and arrested him.

Moreland now faces multiple charges, including fleeing from police and drug-related offenses. Police did not release additional details about the investigation or whether anyone else was involved.
