The Southfield apartment complex caught fire, other departments called for help in fighting the fire

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (FOX 2) – The Southfield Fire Department has called in additional resources to battle a fire at an apartment complex north of Ten Mile.

The Southfield Fire Department was called to Le Chateu Apartments on Southfield Road at around 2.45pm on Monday.

According to FOX 2 News staff who arrived at the scene, one of the buildings was completely engulfed in flames.

Southfield called in crews from Royal Oak, Farmington, Birmingham and Ferndale to help fight the fire.

There is no word on whether there are any casualties or what could have caused the fire.
