How to report voter fraud on election day? – NBC New York

New York Attorney General Letitia James is among state officials across the country reminding voters that resources are available to help with any problems they face at the polls on Tuesday’s Election Day.

In New York, the attorney general’s office will have an election advocacy hotline open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday. New Yorkers can also apply for help online through written form.

“All New Yorkers have the right to feel safe when they vote,” James said in a statement. “Our Election Protection Hotline will help make sure every voice is heard – whether you vote by mail or in person on Election Day. My office is committed to protecting free and fair elections, and we will continue to do everything we can to ensure a safe and smooth voting process for everyone. I encourage every New Yorker to contact our hotline to resolve any election-related questions or concerns.”

In New Jersey, voters can call the state’s toll-free Voter Information and Assistance Line at 1-877-NJ-VOTER (1-877-658-6837) or visit the state election protection website.

Connecticut has established an Election Day Hotline at 1-866-SEEC-INFO (1-866-733-2463), or voters with concerns can email [email protected].

Notification of fraud on election day

The U.S. Election Assistance Committee said that allegations of misconduct can be reported to the state or local election official where the incident occurred, such as the secretary of state or board of elections.
