Witnesses to the Birch Park Apartments murder say they don’t remember what they told police

SAGINAW, Mich. — After a 19-year-old man was killed at Birch Park Apartments in Saginaw, a woman gave police a vivid description of the shooting. She went so far as to name the suspect and highlight his photo in the array.

However, the witness brought to the court to testify for the prosecution changed his story. Sometimes she said she didn’t remember what she told the police; in others, she directly contradicted her previous statements.
