Was OTF Jam Shot During Lil Durk’s Arrest?

Recent rumors claimed that OTF Jam, a member of Lil Durk’s record label and alleged police informant, had been shot.

This story first appeared on X in a video posted by Lil Rico (@IAmLilRico) early on November 4th. “Otf Jam Fatally Shot & Killed…”. the post said. The footage also showed a car with broken windows and visible bullet holes as investigators examined the scene, suggesting the shooting was from a driveway.

The 1 minute and 12 second video quickly went viral, garnering over 216,800 views. It showed an ambulance at the scene of the crime, where a distraught middle-aged man repeatedly shouted “No” and “Let me go” as he resisted rescuers. Soon after, the ambulance drove off, followed by a bicycle with two men on it.

Although the video is authentic, the claim that OTF Jam was killed is false. The victim was actually a New York drill rapper named CJ Rilla, according to the original footage posted on the LLN NYC YouTube channel.

A video recently went viral showing law enforcement officers, first responders and bystanders at the scene of the crime. Although some users on X claimed that this showed a fatal shooting of OTF Jam, this is not true and should be clarified.

The original, longer video on LLN NYC’s YouTube channel, uploaded on October 29, shows two middle-aged men: one yelling at someone named “CJ” near an ambulance, while the other lies on the ground in distress.

The person in the ambulance appeared to be unconscious or dead from the shooting, and family members were grieving as officers and paramedics tried to comfort them. After the ambulance left, two men followed her on a motorcycle.

The 6-minute-26-second YouTube video, which has 44,814 views at the time, is titled “16-year-old drill rapper CJ Rilla shot dead in Harlem.” The description includes a statement from the NYPD.

NYPD: On Thursday, October 24, 2024 at approximately 1:37 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call about a man shot at West 124th Street and Lenox Avenue in the 28th Ward.
