GTA Online players are looking for hints on the next GTA 6 trailer

GTA Online players have embraced their inner astrologer and are firmly convinced that the moon is hiding details about the next GTA 6 trailer.

Expectation Grand Theft Auto 6 it can be the most painful experience in the life of many gamers. Of course, we got a trailer in late 2023 which promised a 2025 release window. Two years seems doable to some, but fans of the series have been speculating about GTA 6 since 2013, when its predecessor was released.

Rockstar has certainly built a devoted fan base, but now that the next title in their flagship franchise is upon us, those fans are going a little crazy. Prospective players are looking everywhere for signs of GTA 6 Diwali crackers to fast food couriers.

The latest conspiracy theory to take society by storm involves a little bit of astrology and a lot of fantasy. Players are convinced that Rockstar is telling them the date of the next GTA 6 trailer by using the phases of the moon in some marketing material to GTA online.

Okay, I guess it’s worth explaining a bit, after it’s been thrown at you. Players pointed to an instance where a specific moon phase shown in the marketing for the 2023 Moon Festival event ended up matching the actual moon of December 5, 2023. This was the date when the first GTA 6 trailer was released.

Using this incident as a precedent, GTA Online players assume that a recent tweet from Rockstar uses the phase of the moon to indicate the date for the next GTA 6 trailer. The waning moon pictured in the tweet will appear on November 22, 2024, and if conspiracy theorists are to be believed, the next GTA 6 trailer will also appear.

“Okay, I really believe that, especially since the moon is abnormally large in both photos,” one player allowed. “Almost like they want people to notice! I really hope it’s true,” replied another.
