High Wind Warning for Oregon’s East Columbia River Gorge for Monday and Tuesday

The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning at 1:42 p.m. Sunday in effect from 1 p.m. Monday until 7 a.m. Tuesday for the East Columbia River Gorge in Oregon.

The weather service says, “West wind 25 to 45 mph, with gusts 55 to 70 mph possible.”

“The damaging wind will bring down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. The trip will be difficult, especially for vehicles with a large profile,” the weather service adds. “Stay on the lower floors of your home during a storm and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree branches. Be careful if you have to drive.”
