Two boats of the Kochi Water Metro Service collided near Fort Kochi on Sunday, but all passengers were unharmed, authorities said.

According to Kochi Water Metro Limited (KWML), while crossing the RoRo ferry, the two boats slowed down and collided with each other.

“As part of the emergency procedures, the alarm went off and the emergency doors opened automatically. The boats and passengers were completely safe,” KWML said in a statement.

The management of KWML reported that three vloggers who were in the same boat created a commotion and wanted to enter the unauthorized area of the boat’s control cabin. For security reasons, the crew did not allow this. However, they tried to push through and then complained that they had mistreated them.

KWML will conduct an internal investigation, the statement added.
