(Nationwide) Body found damaged by Hwachon Buhan River… Suspects in pursuit

Police have launched an investigation after a body, believed to be a woman in her 30s, was found in the Bukhangan River in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province.

At around 2:50 pm yesterday (the 2nd), a body part was reported to have floated out of the Bukhangan River in front of Hwacheon High School in Hwacheon-eup.

Police then resumed the search this morning, finding and recovering several more mutilated bodies near the dock on Carp Island.

Police are looking for a suspect because they recognize the woman, leaving open the possibility that her body may have been mutilated after she was killed.
