CMPD is investigating a homicide in downtown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in Uptown, according to a news release.

Officials were called to the area of ​​South Church Street and West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, near Romare Bearden Park, Medic reported. One EMS person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials are now calling the incident a homicide.
