The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the murder

THOUSAND OAKS, CA. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred early Friday morning at a long-term care facility.

Two roommates got into an argument at a treatment facility when staff noticed severe injuries to a 72-year-old patient who later died from them, VCSO said.

The investigators also established that the 58-year-old suspect caused minor bodily injuries to an individual employee and called this incident a murder, specified the VCSO.

The perpetrator of the death of a 58-year-old man was arrested for murder, assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism, explained the HCSO.

Bail is set at $2 million for the suspect, and his arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. in Ventura County Superior Court.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Detectives Gerardo Cruz or Eric Hernandez.
