Queen Maxima shares rare details about her daughter

Queen Máxima has admitted that all three of her daughters, including Princess Katarina Amalia, Princess Alexia, 19, and Princess Ariana, 17, have taught her valuable life lessons. “It’s always good to learn from younger people because they have a completely different perspective,” the Queen said. “So I learn from everyone I meet, including my daughters.”

She revealed that her schedule is very busy as she works for the royal family in addition to other endeavors (such as her role as a UN special advocate). However, Queen Maxima admitted that she was lucky to have such a reliable support system.

“My husband (King Willem-Alexander) and three daughters have been a huge support,” she continued. “As a mother, I sometimes had to make difficult decisions. As a working woman, I often had to leave my children and husband. My mother’s heart always broke a little.’
