NFL star and ‘jealous’ wife dress up as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift for Halloween

If you can’t beat them, be them.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly dressed up as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift for Halloween – after Kelly admitted she was “jealous” of the attention the couple was getting at NFL games.

Kelly shared photos of the pair’s outfit on Instagram on Friday, with Stafford replicating Kelsey’s outfit from the US Open men’s finals, which he attended with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes and Swift.

“Six Swifties and a stubborn tache,” Kelly captioned the photo, recalling how Stafford’s glued-on Kelsey-copy mustache keeps peeling off.

The costume choice seemed odd since Kelly complained about Travis and Taylor.

“I feel like there’s a cloud over Taylor Swift,” she said on her podcast. “I never said I didn’t like Taylor Swift.

“But I will say that I’m a little tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of this — actually the NFL’s coverage of this prospect relationship last year. And can she do anything about it? No, she can’t.

“It was a good business decision for the NFL, but I almost felt like it overshadowed the games. I think that’s what was bothering me.

“I was a bit jealous of the fact that they were getting so much attention and suddenly the football game was a sideshow. So yeah, maybe I let jealousy get the better of me.”

The Staffords took their kids to Swift’s game in New Orleans, and Kelly said she enjoyed the show before returning the jealousy she feels toward Travis and Taylor.

“I had jealousy issues with her suddenly being the main show in NFL football or their relationship,” she said.

“And I watch my husband work his ass, and I watch all these guys in the league work their asses, and all of a sudden they’re like a minor show. So, that’s where the species came from.”

The Rams are not playing the Chiefs, the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, this season.

Stafford’s team is 3-4 and in last place in the NFC West right now, while the Chiefs are undefeated at 7-0 as they seek a historic third straight Super Bowl title.
