Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are sent through funeral homes and cremation services, but we do accept submissions from families. Obituaries may be emailed to [email protected].

In addition to the obituary text, you can attach any photos you wish to include to this email. Please place the text of the obituary in a Word document, Google document or in the body of an email. The Reading Eagle also requires some form of proof of death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service responsible for the care of the deceased or a photo of his/her death certificate. We also ask that you include your full name, phone number and address in this email.

All payments by families must be made by credit card. We will send confirmation of the completed obituary before requesting payment. However, the obituary will not be issued until we receive full payment.

Obituaries can be submitted for any date in the future, but must be received no later than 3:00pm the day before to be published.
