The truck ended up in Lake Superior after an alleged drunken driving incident

THUNDER BAY. A local woman was arrested after an incident Thursday in which a red pickup partially submerged in Lake Superior, north of Marina Park.

According to a press release from the Thunder Bay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle.

Police said they found a pickup truck that had driven into the water.

A 23-year-old Thunder Bay woman has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage over $5,000 and impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
