A Kentucky man has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography in the Philippines

WALTON, Kentucky (FOX 56) — A northern Kentucky man pleaded guilty in court Thursday to charges of extraterritorial production of child pornography.

According to administration of justiceRobert Werner, 46, of Walton, lived in the Philippines from February 2021 to November 2021.

In his plea agreement, Werner told investigators that he was a client of a Filipino man who sold him access to dozens of minors for live sex acts. According to Werner, he paid for material about child sexual abuse and numerous personal encounters with underage boys in the Philippines for several months.

He admitted to engaging in an overtly sexual relationship with at least one minor so he could create a visual representation of the encounter between July 2021 and November 2021, according to the plea deal.

Werner told investigators he brought the material to the United States.

The Justice Department announced that Werner faces 15 to 30 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for March 7, 2025.
