NFL WAG Kelly Stafford Admits Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Attention Made Her ‘Jealous’

There is no bad blood between Kelly Stafford and Taylor Swift.

The 35-year-old NFL WAG admitted to “The Morning After” podcast. listeners on Thursday that she let jealousy cloud her judgment of Swift, 34, after clouding the singer’s affair with Travis Kelce in May

Ahead of the 2024 NFL season, Stafford complained that she “doesn’t want to see four more months of coverage about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce” — something she admits was motivated by jealousy.

“I think there’s a cloud hanging over Taylor Swift. Now, I’ve never said I don’t like Taylor Swift — ever,” she told her co-host Hank Winchester in the latest episode.

The podcast that is married Los Angeles Rams star Matthew Staffordexplained that she’s “tired” of the NFL’s constant spotlight on the singer — something she admits isn’t Swift’s fault.

“Can she do anything about it? No, she can’t, Kelly admitted.

While Kelly acknowledged that “it was a good business decision for the NFL,” she felt the nonstop coverage “overshadowed the games.”

“I think that’s what bothered me,” she continued. “I was a bit jealous of the fact that they were getting so much attention and suddenly the football match was a sideshow. So yeah, maybe I let jealousy get the better of me.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Kelly explained that she had to step back and work through her emotions before getting to the root of her problems.

“I was like, ‘Why did I feel this way?’ And it really is, I had jealousy issues with her suddenly being the main show in NFL football…or their relationship,” she explained.

“And I watch my husband work his ass, and I watch all these guys in the league work their asses, and all of a sudden they’re like a sideshow,” she added. “So that’s where it came from.”

Despite her harsh reaction to the situation, Kelly insisted that she has always “loved” the “Fortnight” singer’s music and has been a big fan of her since the beginning.

“I was a fan of hers when she was a country star because we’re the same age, so I grew up listening to her music,” she explained, noting that it had a “positive” impact on her life.

Swift Kelly passed her love of music on to her four daughters — twins Sawyer and Chandler, 7, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4.

In fact, Kelly and Matthew took their daughters to see Swift in concert in New Orleans last weekend after the quarterback’s night game against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.

The mother-of-four said she was “so grateful” to Swift for growing the female audience and making her daughters “love football more knowing that she’s involved with it”.

“I honestly think my girls are more proud of their dad because he plays a sport that Taylor Swift loves,” she said. “At the end of the day, I’m grateful for everything.”

The Staffords surprised their girls with a trip to the Eras Tour last weekend, decking out the private jet with friendship bracelets, sparkly outfits, balloons, candy and, of course, a playlist of all Swift songs.

“But this concert, man,” Kelly said, later calling it “the experience of a lifetime.”
