Two killed, 6 injured in shooting on Halloween night in Orlando

Two people were killed and six others were injured in a shooting in downtown Orlando, Florida on Halloween night, police said.

The suspect, 17-year-old Jalen Duane Edgar, was taken into custody, Orlando police said.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired just after 1 a.m. Friday, and within minutes officers witnessed a second shooting, police said.

One person was killed at the first location and a second victim was killed at the second location, police said.

Surveillance video captured the chaos of people fleeing the scene as police apprehended the suspect.

The six victims were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition. the police said. According to the police, the ages of the victims range from 19 to 39 years old.
