When questioned by the police, Vijay insisted that the missing potatoes warranted an investigation. He explained that he was going to boil some potatoes after he had a few drinks, but when he got home he found that there were no vegetables.

The absurdity of the situation forced the police to start recording the conversation, which soon went viral on social media.
