The Pueblo City Council is declaring October as Code Compliance Month

PUEBLO — A group that helps keep Pueblo clean will be honored this month. The Pueblo City Council has designated October as Code Compliance Month in the city.

Pueblo Code Enforcement is a team of 20 people who clean up properties and enforce codes or ordinances that affect the following:

  • buildings
  • environment
  • any trouble

“So compliance is important in the fact that it really helps preserve property values, promotes safety and promotes health,” said Karen Wilson with Pueblo Code Enforcement.
Pueblo Code Enforcement handled nearly 1,100 complaints or violations during October, a nearly 40 percent increase over the same period last year.
