Woman sentenced to life in prison for killing father and daughters in drunken road accident

HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. — Ann Lang will spend the rest of her life in prison for killing a dad and his two teenage daughters.

After a three-day trial in Hendry County, Lang was found guilty of three counts of intoxication manslaughter and three counts of vehicular homicide. Police say she killed Enedino Galindo, Ariana Galindo and Keanna Galindo, who were just 13 and 15 at the time of the crash, according to court documents.

Lang was sentenced to life in prison for each count of vehicular homicide. She was sentenced to 14 years in prison on each count plus one year of probation on each count for involuntary manslaughter.

“We’re glad we don’t have to worry about her going out and hurting another family,” said Rhonda Reyna, the two girls’ aunt. “She couldn’t walk away from it, and we’re grateful for that.”

Ann Lang made her first court appearance in Hendry County on March 28.

Before the sentencing, family members from both sides told the judge about their loved ones.

“Family relationships and ties were broken forever because of one person’s selfie, it’s painful and unpleasant to drive a car drunk,” Enedino’s old friend said.

“I lost a lot when he died,” said Anastasia Galindo, Enedino’s daughter. “Now my father can’t hold his children or grandchildren and tell them he loves them.”

Ex-wife Ann also performed alongside old friends. Her ex-wife called her a kind person.

In January 2021, Lang was driving more than 100 miles per hour on State Route 80 when she hit a car backing out of their driveway.

In another car was a father with two teenage daughters.

Records show Lang’s blood-alcohol level was 0.22, nearly three times the legal limit.

In March of last year, US marshals joined a search for Lang after she failed to appear in court on 7 DUI-related counts – including three counts of involuntary manslaughter.

She was refused bond.
