Should you help Minrathous or Treviso in Dragon Age Veilguard?

Should you help Minrathous or Treviso in Dragon Age Veilguard?

Choosing Dragon Age Veilguard Minrathous or Treviso is tricky because it’s presented to you very suddenly without giving you any warning or time to prepare. Both cities are threatened by the Bane Dragon, ruled by one of the evil elven gods in the Dragon Age The Veilguardwhich means that whoever does not choose to help will suffer greatly. You also have to consider which companion you care the least about, as Lucanis and Neve have ties to Treviso and Minratus respectively. To help you make this difficult decision, I’ve listed below the results for choosing to defend any city.

Obviously, there are spoilers ahead for what happens after you make that main Dragon Age Veilguard choice.

Your decision to help Minrathous or Treviso in Dragon Age Veilguard largely depends on your own preferences and which companion you don’t want to upset – in short, Treviso’s defense will annoy Neve and Minratus’ defense will annoy Lukanis.

Otherwise, Minrathous’s help does have a bit more impact due to Venatori being there, but the consequences for each choice are very similar, causing things like sidequests to automatically fail and for the Companion to Veilguard Dragon Age become hardened – an effect that makes them deadlier but less supportive in combat, and reduces the rate at which their bond grows. Any city that isn’t defended will also feature new side quests that show the wider ramifications of your choices, and you’ll have to unlock all of Veilguard Dragon Age’s fast travel beacons again.

If you’re not happy with the result, you can always reload the save, especially since you made this decision shortly after recruiting Davrin to your Veilguard team, and there’s no way to avoid it. Since automatic sidequests are an important aspect of both options, you can load an even earlier save so you can clear them from your map and journal in both Minratus and Treviso before doing the Warden’s Best Friend quest.
