Directed by Jeff Beasley, A Carol for Two tells the story of a small-town Broadway actress with hope when she gets her big break by performing a duet at a Christmas Eve concert. Violette Wagner starts working at Fiore’s Diner, a legendary theater establishment known for its vocalists. She aspires to reach her dream stage of Broadway to become an actress, the dream of many among the service staff. Alex, a colleague, resents her for getting the job because of her family connections, but recognizes her talent. He suggests that they perform as a duet at Fiore’s annual Christmas concert, which is attended by famous Broadway names.

As they begin training, Alex’s cousin, Brad, asks Violet out on a date, and the two begin dating. However, Brad may be interested in Violet since Alex is bossing him around. As the night of the concert approaches, Violette reveals their plan and Alex begins to develop feelings for her, leading to a whirlwind of emotions at the eleventh hour. Brand romantic the musical film takes us to the glamorous location of Broadway in New York, where the diner is a vibrant backdrop that radiates the holiday spirit.

Although Winnipeg is not as bustling a metropolis as New York, the modern city of Winnipeg could convincingly portray parts of the city with effective cinematography under the direction of cinematographer Paul Suderman.
