Ahead of Rochester resident pleads guilty in the “feeding of our future” scheme

Rochester, minn. (KTTC)-The fourth person from Rochester has been guilty on Thursday in the largest scheme of fraud in the country.

Mustafa Jama pleaded guilty to one calculation of money laundering for his role in the scheme of “feeding our future.”

The group of five worked from the Brava restaurant and the cafe in Rochester. According to the court records, Jama wrote a check for $ 394,000 to buy a house in Lakeville. The conspirators claimed that the restaurant serves children up to 3,000 daily dishes.

A restaurant is approximately $ 4.3 million of baby food funds. In total, the scheme operated $ 250 million.
