Taliban suspends Afghan Women’s Radio Station for providing the content for a foreign TV channel

The Taliban Ministry of Information and Culture stated that on Tuesday (February 4, 2025), which suspended an Afghan women’s radio station, referring to the “unauthorized position” of the content and programming on a foreign TV channel.

The Ministry has stated that Radio Begum violated broadcasting policies and incorrectly used its license. “This decision arises after several violations, including unauthorized content and programming provisions on a foreign TV channel,” the ministry said, adding that it will review all the necessary documents to determine the future station.
