The Put The Kettle On foal should help get the buyers boiling at Doncaster on Friday

Foals, yearlings and breeding stock can be sorted at Goffs UK on Friday, with the second edition of the British National Hunt Sale taking place from midday.

The vast majority of the initial 90-strong catalog are foals and they include the 2021 Champion Chase runner-up, Put The Kettle On.

Filly consigned by Cobhall Court Stud as lot 9author of the Overbury Stud Derby and the hero of the Golden Horn Arch.

A daughter of Stowaway Put The Kettle On, bred by Butlersgrove Stud out of a Quest For Fame mare Name For Fame, sold as a store at Goffs where Keith Phelan closed the deal for €22,000.

Later raced for Henry de Bromhead and One For Luck Racing Syndicate, Put the kettle on achieved nine wins, led by her triumph at the 2021 Festival, when she became the first mare to mount the Champion Chase.

She was something of a Cheltenham specialist as she also won the Grade 1 Arkle Chase in 2020 and several Grade 2s at the November meeting.

She signed when fifth behind Energumene in the 2022 Champion Chase and was £380,000 by Highflyer Bloodstock at the Goffs UK Aintree Sale the following month.

Anthony Bromley signed the protocol on behalf of Simon Davies of Chapel Stud, who immediately matched her with the resident Father Planter. The result was a one-year-old filly.

Before the seizure, Zoloty Rig had 15 foals castwith other notable young – foals (61) of Limini, also a Cheltenham Festival winner, securing the 2016 Grade 2 Mares Novice Hurdle.

Limini, who raced for Rich Ricci and Willie Mullins, also received Level 1 four times. Her foal is by Peal Bloodstock and the mare has a two-year-old and a yearling, both foals, by Nathaniel.

There is also a half-sister to Redemption Day Grade 1 Punchestown Bumper winner Golden Horn (82) is offered by Yorton Farm.

The dam, a daughter of Astarabad, Kutielilu – a sister to Grade 1 Champion Bumper winner Cheltenian, also has a three-year-old filly by Gentlewave and a filly foal by Ito waiting for their time.

Outhill Farm offers foals and yearling full brothers to Golden Horn out of Pearlita (3 and 78), along with half-sisters Nathaniel and Blue Brazil from Mousetrap (72 and 84), while Ballincurrig House are channeling full siblings Walk In The Park from Chante Neige (43 and 81).

Others that should catch the eye of many include the Walk In The Park colt out of Kewega’s daughter Princess Vega (7), consigned by Swanbridge Bloodstock, and a Bangkok filly out of Grade 2 and Grade 1 winner The Glancing Queen (24), another suggested by Cobhall Court Stud.
