French police are turning away, the arrest of Feenoid fans before the Champions League match against Lill

Lill, France – Dozens of Feyenord fans were forbidden to travel to Lill for the final game of the Champions League group between the two clubs were turned or arrested at the border, the French authorities reports.

The prefecture of the Du Nord, which represents the French state in the Lill region, said that 64 fans of the Dutch team were denied entry to France, and 17 were arrested and taken into custody.

Police seized pyrotechnic devices and various items that can be used as weapons during their checks, prefecture reports.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of France has stated that there is a “real and serious risk of confrontation” between the fans of the two teams when it was a ban on traveling before the match on Wednesday to Pierre-Mauro.

The French authorities have stated that the traveling of Feenoid often dumping “a violation of public order because of the violent behavior of certain supporters or people who claim supporters of this team,” and they cited several examples of fan violence.

In May 2022, in France there were brutal clashes between Marseille and Feyenord’s fans outside the Stal Stal -Glodror stadium before returning their semifinals of the League of the European Conference.

In the center of the city, Lill also had cruel clashes when the club played the Bulgarian side of Levsky Sophia in the Europa League in 2010.
