The complaint further states that Merkel allegedly told the detective that when he shot a boy with a 9mm pistol, he did not expect him to shoot because he thought he would take out the magazine, reports The Outlet. Merkel said he called 911.

Police said Merkel was held in Wolwort’s prison. It is unclear whether he made a request whether they kept a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
