Anthony Davis publicly pleads with Lakers front office for ‘missing piece’ to win another championship

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers may finally be turning the corner after a rocky start to their season. The Lakers have won 6 of their last 10 games, including their last two. They currently have a 24-18 record, good for the 5th seed in the West. However, despite the Lakers’ continued success, Davis feels the team is still missing a piece that could help them get over the hump.

Thursday, ahead of a matchup with the Boston Celtics in the NBA Rivals Game of the Week, ESPN Insider Shams Charania published his interview with Anthony Davis in which the Lakers big man detailed the team’s championship aspirations under the new HC JJ Reddick. AD said in an interview that he thinks the Lakers still have a few steps to take to fill some of the missing pieces on the roster.

First, we want to win it for the city. Second, we never had a parade. Thirdly, there is a lot of talk about the asterisk… We (1-2 pcs.). I really feel that we are.
