Porcupine’s husband pleads guilty to sexually abusing a teenage girl

RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA) – Chandler New Holley, 27, of Porcupine, pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl between September 2022 and March 2023 in federal court on Friday.

New Hawley and his attorney struck a plea deal with federal prosecutors, recommending that they be sentenced to two years in prison. However, New Hall’s conviction could lead to up to 15 years in prison.

New Hawley struggled to understand some simple questions at Friday’s hearing. He tested positive for THC just before the hearing and admitted to smoking marijuana on Thursday. This was his second violation.

New Saint will remain in custody until sentencing.
