Glasgow, Ramperseau will star as the Hawks smashing Piranha

As action continued in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) National T20 League at the Lusignan Center Ground East Coast Demerara yesterday, the Berbice Piranhas edged out the Demerara Hawks to win by three wickets in a relatively comfortable chase.

Batting first, the Hawks were bowled out for 138 in 19.1 overs behind a disciplined Piranha batting. Only Shamar Yearwood (29) and skipper Junior Sinclair (46) managed any scores as Piranhas captain Jonathan Ramperso took 4-20 (4 overs) to restrict the opposition. Chasing 139, the Piranhas took it to the wire but eventually won with a ball and three wickets to spare. The chase was secured by a 34-ball 50 from Seon Glasgow, while Adrian Sukwa (28) and Narendra Persaud (22) made valuable contributions with the bat. Glasgow smashed six fours and a couple of sixes in his winning knock.

The action continues tomorrow at the same venue as the Essequibo Derby when the Jaguars take on the Anacondas at 1pm.
