HPPSC Police Constable 2024 application ends today, check here for details

Himachal Pradesh State Public Service Commission (HPPSC) will soon close the application for the recruitment of 1088 constables in various departments. Candidates can apply for constable posts through official website www.hppsc.hp.gov.in until today, October 31.

The competition provides for the recruitment of 1088 vacancies — 708 constable posts (male) and 380 constable posts (female). The salary for these posts is between Rs.20,200 to Rs.64,000 as per Pay Scale 3. For more information candidates may refer the official notification mentioned below:

Application fee

Male candidates from general category and EWS category shall pay a fee of Rs.600/-. SC/ST/OBC/EWS category candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.150/-. Female candidates are exempted from the application fee.

The selection process

Physical test: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be scheduled and conducted by Himachal Pradesh Police Department who will provide the list of qualified candidates along with their height marks to the commission.
Written test: Candidates who pass the physical examination will be provisionally admitted to the objective-type written examination of two hours’ duration, consisting of 90 negative-marked multiple-choice questions, to be conducted by the Commission.
Document verification: Candidates who have passed the physical and written test will be selected as per the examination area as per the Rules of Procedure of the Document Verification Board which will be conducted by the Police Department (They will also award the candidates with NCC Certificates at the time of document verification.)
Medical examination: The medical examination will be ordered and conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Police Department after receiving the recommendations of the HPPublic Service Commission.
