Malayalam actress Honey Rose sues activist Rahul Iswar for cyber crime and ‘constant threats’

After the arrest of a Kerala businessman Bobby Chemmanur on a sexual harassment complaint, Malayalam actress Honey Rose has accused activist Rahul Iswar of allegedly orchestrating a cybercrime to downplay her complaint and manipulate public opinion against her. Honey Rose took to her Facebook account and shared that she and her family have gone through severe mental stress for which she holds Raheel Iswar responsible. The actor filed a complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police Station.

“Rahul Iswar, my family and I are going through a lot of psychological stress. You are one of the main reasons for this. I filed a complaint against the flagrant insults that were made against me on a public platform. The police recognized my statement as well-founded and opened a case, and the court kept the person I filed a statement against in custody,” she wrote.

“All I have to do is file a complaint. The rest depends on the government, the police and the courts. Rahul Iswar is planning organized crime in cyberspace with the intention of misrepresenting the seriousness of my complaint and turning public opinion against me,” the statement said. post next.

Honey Rose went on to say, “Rahul Iswar is the main reason behind the constant threats I face through the media, including vulgar, ambiguous and offensive comments directed at me and my profession. His actions constantly pushed me into severe mental agony and even led me to thoughts of suicide. These actions are deliberate attempts to degrade my female dignity,” she wrote.

“Rahul Iswar has repeatedly threatened to harm me and insult my womanhood, both directly and through social media. He also tried to undermine my professional opportunities. Given the scale of his actions, I am taking legal action against him.”

Honey Rose previously filed a sexual harassment complaint against Bobi Chemmanur. Following a complaint, the businessman was taken into custody by the Wayanad police on Wednesday.

A complaint has been lodged with the Ernakulam Central Police Station in Kochi, officials said. Based on the complaint, a case was registered against the businessman under Section 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and Section 67 of the IT Act.
